Art for Peace
Funded by the ACERCA program of the Spanish Cooperation (AECID), this project nurtures human capital within
the cultural realm across conflict-torn communities in the ECOWAS region
By offering training opportunities and technical support to artists, cultural managers, educators, and organizations, ACERCA catalyzes cultural development, thereby fostering economic and social prosperity while championing diversity, cohesion, and sustainable progress.
Through mediums such as beadwork, Adire, pottery, painting, and digital art, participants are equipped with skills that not only nurture their artistic talents but also serve as a conduit for constructive engagement, steering them away from potential paths of violence.
This initiative stands as a beacon of hope, uniting individuals in their shared quest for peace through the universal language of art.
Materials were provided for continued practice beyond the workshop, aiming to equip the children with skills they can develop at home.
